The Factory

The Factory is the newest music venue in the St. Louis area with 52,000 square feet designed specifically for live music. O’Toole Design worked with Sustaita Architecture to develop the interiors of the venue and create a one-of-a-kind music experience.

The concept was to create a space that was reminiscent of old warehouses. The designers incorporated finishes such as exposed brick, weathered wood, metal look tile, and used quartz counters that resembled poured concrete.

Custom industrial light fixtures can be seen in the main lobby, the second-floor lobby and along the exterior windows above the open metal staircase. Each lobby has a custom bar surround with exposed I-beams, rebar and custom metal shelving for the bars to display merchandise.

On the exterior of the building, custom graphics were created that are a nod to the old advertising murals that could be found on warehouses back in their prime.
